A tradition evolved
At LDI, we believe dance should evolve alongside the dancers performing it. While we deeply respect the history and tradition of The Nutcracker, we chose to create Nutcracker Reimagined so every student, regardless of age, level, body type, or dance genre, can play a meaningful role in telling the story.
Our production emphasizes creativity, inclusion, critical thinking, and artistic growth rather than asking dancers to fit into a century old mold. The result is a holiday tradition that honors the spirit of the original while reflecting the values of today's dancers and families.
