Lynch Dance Institute finds the balance between being overly strict and too lenient, providing a tough but nurturing environment. LDI has helped me tremendously and feels more like a second home than a ballet studio. The Lynch's themselves are amazing teachers. They make the studio about, and for the students themselves.

The Lynch's overall attitude toward dance and their students is so positive and encouraging. It pushes you to be a better dancer and better person. The program is challenging and the teachers are amazing. This studio enlightens and develops the body and soul.

Since moving to Lynch Dance Institute I have had a very enriching experience which I feel has been a step in the direction towards a professional career. Everyone at the studio has been so welcoming and supportive of me as both a person and a dancer. It has been a truly refreshing experience to be training in a space filled with so much positivity and I am so grateful for the time I get to spend here.

Lynch Dance Institute is a very special studio, unlike any studio I have been to before. Every single person there has the same passion, respect and commitment towards dance. No matter where you come from or what background you had, the teachers and students are all here for you.

I met the Lynch's less than a year ago while I was looking for a studio to train at after coming back from a long injury. Thankfully, a family friend had recommended a new studio called LDI. I signed up for their summer intensive program so I would be able to see if it would be a good fit for me. Just in one week I could not believe how much I had learned and how much knowledge the Lynch's had to give. I knew then, LDI was the right fit for me to get back from my injury. My experience has exceeded my expectations. The Lynch's have a wealth of knowledge from many years of professional experience in one of the country's top companies. They not only were dancers in the top company but they have a pedagogy at the highest level to pass on. It is so evident that they are passionate about what they do, and care about their students. LDI is such an encouraging place to grow; the mentorship and advice from the Lynch's, and the camaraderie they foster amongst the dancers, develops an athlete, but also gives the athlete a sense of community and support. The program is comprehensive as far as hours, variety of classes, exceptional teachers, and filled with challenge. I have trained at 2 top schools in the country with some amazing teachers, but I can easily say the Lynch's program is an amazing program, and it is the highest quality training.

Lynch Dance Institute is an incredible place to begin and further your interests in dance. I developed a very strong technical foundation during my time here. I cannot say enough amazing things about the staff and people there. The students are so inviting and friendly and the staff are also incredibly welcoming as well as professional. I have always felt like every member of their wonderful staff has been invested in my well being as a person and in the success of my career. They do such a great job of making sure every student receives personal attention and they encourage us to grow as dancers as well as people. The best favor you could do your child is choosing to let them spend their time dancing at a studio like this.

We have twin daughters that began dancing at Lynch Dance Institute (LDI) in 2017 when they were 6 years old. Today in 2026, at age 14, they are still dancing at LDI! From the first time we saw our girls in the studio and then followed by our first Christmas 'Mixed Nuts' performance we have been blown away with the progress of our dancers year after year. LDI is the Best! They firmly believe in teaching girls/boys the great fundamentals of great dancing at every level and then advancing them only when they are sure that the dancer will be ready to succeed at the next level. And best of all, they make it fun for the dancer in the training. They take a wholistic approach with both mind and body, and with now 'Nutcracker Reimagined' during the Holidays followed by 'Spring Show' in the Spring, dancers get immeasurable experience in performing live on stage. In addition, LDI offers 'Intensive' during the Summer that advances the dancers skill in preparation for the Fall Season to begin. Tim and Alex simply do a wonderful job with the dancers, year-round, preparing them to be the best version of themselves and perhaps even enter the Professional Ranks in dancing. We highly recommend LDI to any young girls/boys that love to dance and perfect their craft.

All four of my kids have studied here at various times and I have appreciated their ability to support a wide range of skill, personality, and interest while still remaining true to their high expectations and core studio goals.

If you're looking for a dance studio, Lynch Dance Institute is the place to be. It will surely become a place of joy and magic for your child as they discover their love for dance. Every single staff member trains proper technique and your child will grow leaps and bounds in a really loving environment. The parent community there is wonderful, as well. My 6-year old daughter has been attending LDI for about 1.5 years and participated in 1-week of their Jr. Ballet Intensive summer programs this week. So much was covered in 5-days and she was excited to share about the yoga session, wellness session, learning choreography, ballet, jazz, hip-hop! The 30-minute show at the end of the week was so impressive! We are grateful to have found this studio and would recommend them over and over again!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Lynch Dance Institute. We enrolled my daughter when she was about 4 years old to help with her motor skills, confidence and comfort being in groups. We weren't entirely sure how it was going to go but immediately felt that Lynch was the place for her to learn and grow. We were absolutely right. Alex and Tim were so patient as she settled in. Under the care of Lynch's amazing faculty, she began to thrive and fell in love with dancing. My daughter has had opportunities to participate in shows, outstanding weekly classes and summer intensives. Our family has seen first hand the incredible transformation that can occur when you invest in a Lynch education. From the smallest dancers, to the seniors, the evidence of well-designed, intentional training is clear. The expectations set are high and the faculty support to reach those heights is strong and consistent. I am continually in awe of what the dancers accomplish. Behind the scenes, Lynch fosters a culture of positivity, care and comradery. The older dancers mentor the younger dancers. This culture extends to the parents who connect and create community. The result is an environment where dancers flourish. We feel lucky to have found the Lynch Dance Institute and continue to be grateful to have a studio of such excellence available to us here in San Diego.

I'm so thankful we found LDI! After moving into our home, I started to look for a place for my older daughter to take dance classes. I remember emailing Tim and being told to bring my 5 year old daughter to a trial class. My younger daughter who was 2 at the time insisted on joining too, and Camille was so kind and encouraging, allowing them both to attend. Unfortunately, covid lockdown happened the next week and my daughter struggled trying to learn ballet with zoom. Alex and Tim were so understanding, so when we felt comfortable returning to in person classes, I knew exactly where to go. I was amazed when I saw the quality of the first performance and the high caliber of the older students. Both of my daughters have been dancing at LDI for three years now, and I see so much happiness in their faces when they perform. All of the teachers they have had so far have been so encouraging, fun, and patient. It is so fun to watch them grow and learn amazing technique while developing a great appreciation for dance.

I have been an Adult student here since 2019. The Staff is amazing and they offer a wide variety of dance classes during the weekday evenings and weekend mornings. All levels of experience are encouraged to join, and it's a wonderful, welcoming environment! Highly recommend giving it a try!

This is my happy place! What LDI has given me is the hope to keep dancing. I feel loved and supported here in a way I've never felt anywhere. This is the most enriching and inspiring place with incredible, talented teachers who go above and beyond to support you. I've gone to classes throughout the years at various studios, but LDI is the absolute best. It is incomparable. I've loved all the adult intensives so far! I love the adult jazz class, which is just pure joy. One of the biggest highlights for me is that I got to perform in a ballet piece for the first time since I was a teenager! Thank you LDI for making my ballet and jazz experience magical and transformative.
